Mr. Buenaventura Josa Camarasa decided to incorporate the manufacture of electrical equipment into his small metalworking workshop.

20’s

1930

Mr. Buenaventura Josa Camarasa decided to incorporate the manufacture of electrical equipment into his small metalworking workshop.

30’s

1954

Mr. Buenaventura Josa Camarasa decided to incorporate the manufacture of electrical equipment into his small metalworking workshop.

1960

The first lampshades and strips (supports for fluorescent lights) are produced, pioneering a wide range of lighting fixtures.

60’s

1975

70’s

1982

BJC is synonymous with quality and is positioned as a leader in the manufacture of electrical equipment in Spain and one of the leading companies in Europe.

1993

The company’s approach has led it to obtain ISO 9001 certification from Aenor for its Small Materials line. It is a pioneer in its sector in adapting to ISO 9001-2000 for its Lighting and Industrial Materials divisions.

90’s

2002

BJC is renovating all of its industrial facilities, resizing its footprint, where all production processes are centralized.

00’s

2011

BJC was integrated into Siemens’ operational structure and in 2011 became the Siemens production center for series of electrical mechanisms.

2025

Since 2025, BJC has been part of the European group ELKO EP, a specialist in technological solutions for intelligent building automation and control. Present in over 70 countries and with a strong track record in innovation, ELKO EP has brought BJC a forward-looking approach focused on efficiency, connectivity and comfort.

This partnership has strengthened our commitment to quality, design and sustainability, adding state-of-the-art products related to home automation, smart relays and iNELS systems to our portfolio.
